(x-posted from my website)

Hi all,

I have some fantastic news to share - the second volume of Chemical Blue has now been completed and printed! I'm sure there'll be more information from Sweatdrop Studios about it soon - but in the meantime, if you are going to London Comic-Con this October, it'll be available from Sweatdrop stall, and later on you can buy it online in the Sweatdrop shopand on Amazon!
I'm so happy I finished this story, it's been such a massive part of my life for so long. I feel like I've unlocked a tremendous achievement! (Although, on a personal level, I'll have an even bigger achievement to unlock in a few days' time T_T) Volume 2 has taken quite a few years to make, in-between kids, jobs, house moves etc. but I feel really happy that I persevered with it and never gave up on the story and characters. They are as real to me as any IRL people I know, and I love them to bits (so much that I even named my daughter after the protagonist :)) So please so check out the book if you can! Thanks ~*
Hi everyone who is still watching me!

I remember a few years ago, DeviantART was such a major part of my life. I'd finish a drawing, upload it onto DA straight away, then wait eagerly for comments ^^ How things have now changed! Recently, I've seen a mass exodus of long-term DA artist. Part of it is because of moving on to pastures new (i.e. Tumblr, Facebook and Instagram), part of it is what DA itself has become. Yes, there are tons of good artists on DA still - but they are lost in a sea of fanart, memes and general stuff that I'd personally would not call art.
So DA for me is no longer a vibrant artist community it once was.
Part of my inactivity on DA is, of course, my own life changes. I'm no longer a carefree 20-something who could spend half the weekend drawing. I have two children, a house to look after, and a part-time job. Just so there is no mistake - I'm still drawing Chemical Blue, I am now on chapter 7 (of 8). I'm juuuust about managing to produce 2 pages a week on top of the rest of life stuff! However, I'm just not putting it online - and least of all I'd want to put it onto DA. Aside from the fact that I don't think DA is suited for posting sequential art at all (I remember uploading every page was such a hassle!), I don't feel Chemical Blue would be appreciated here. I've recently cleaned my gallery a bit and was amazed by all that art I've done over the years. And what do I get most comments, faves, reposts and even a DD on? A bloody animated stamp tutorial. That is now ANCIENT. Don't get me wrong, I am happy that so many people found it useful - I just find it unfair that most of my art seems to be overshadowed by something so insignificant.
Anyway, rant over ^^ Just a few links of where to find me online these days. It's mostly my website which I update with what's going on. I haven't got much on an online presence because I just haven't got time for ANYTHING! (even now as I'm writing this my son is whingeing because he want my attention and I slept a grand total of 3 hours last night because my daughter is majorly teething!) I haven't got a Twitter (I deleted my old one), no Facebook (for personal reasons as I'm not a fan of FB), I have IG but it's nothing to do with my art and I don't update it that often.
So yeah, that's all I had to say really. Thanks for reading, and good luck to everyone still active on DA.
